1 Feb – Chinese noodle soup with pork chops, broccoli & onions
There is nothing officialy Chinese about this soup, except that I think of these egg noodles as being Chinese. My family likes a name for their food. Since I rarely use a recipe, I generally I call most dishes "what's in the fridge" because that is how I cook. But it's all in the marketing, and they will eat "Chinese noodle soup with pork chops." When I took the pork chops out of the freezer this morning, I did not know what they were going to become. I used frozen Pho Bo broth, pan fried the pork chops in sliced, fresh ginger and soy sauce. Sautéed the onions and broccoli in a little sunflower oil. The noodles are the "nests" you can buy at an Asian grocery store.
